Baby makes three

Contribution by Stevie Kirby

My husband and I just had our first child, a son, and he is the newest love of my life. It is amazing to me how much a baby changes your whole life and perspective on everything. It seems like everything that mattered to me before he was born isn’t important anymore. I used to spend money on whatever I wanted without much thought about saving for the future. Now I am starting to think about having to pay for sports uniforms and equipment, birthday parties, and even college for my son. So now I spend a lot of time figuring out ways to save money and cut our costs on different things. For instance we just found a cheaper source for our gas and electricity for our home through New York Energy Rates. We don’t even go out to eat much anymore. Our son is really too small to go to restaurants yet, and I really don’t want to have to pay a babysitter to keep him. So we cook at lot at home now. As he gets older, I will probably keep cooking his meals because really eating at home is probably more nutritious than eating out. This is going to be a great new adventure for my husband and I, and we couldn’t be more excited.

Rent homes and save money!

Is anyone looking to rent a house in Calgary, Alberta?

If you are, you're in for a treat. At RentCalgary.com, you have the option to view houses and apartments in Calgary that interest you. The website eases the searching process by providing pictures, descriptions, and details about the bedrooms, bathrooms, and square footages of the homes. I personally believe renting a home and especially an apartment is a great idea for college students who cannot afford dorming. By renting an apartment, you can save tons a year even by just not having to pay for a meal plan.

If you live in any area of Calgary and are in need of renting out a place, you should definitely consider looking into these homes!

Modern Family

Author: Abdul Sanford

It is that time again folks, time to talk all about my immense love for Modern Family. Of course this week that I am inspired to write about it they show a rerun, but that’s okay! That is why we have directv whole home dvr DVR so we can record and delete on a whim. We know that they need their down time to let their creative minds wander to come up with more and more crazy shenanigans for us to watch every week. Phil and Claire Dunphy are for me the perfect couple. They are a more realistic couple as compared with some that they show on tv these days. I like how they fight and make up and then fight with their kids and then make up again. They have problems and funny things happen just like any real family would. I really could go without Sophia Vergara’s voice on this show because sometimes it really starts to get on my nerves but I think it does suit her character’s personality so at least that works for them.

I honestly believe Modern Family is one of the best shows on ABC. Phil's sense of sarcasm mixed with his Claire's stern yet fun personality make them two of the funniest parents on a show. What makes Modern Family captivating to watch are the scenarios that the family is always faces each day, whether they are about planning a get together with everyone, meeting their teenager's rock star boyfriend, or simply watching their kids grow. Aside from all the wackinessthat comes with these situations in the show, these situations are actually similar to those we face in real life with just a hint of comedy.

Hi all!

Hope everything is going well with you guys!

Stay tune for more updates.

DOMESTIC ENGINEERING

Thanks for the guest post by Esteban Vinson

Before we chose our internet provider, I looked into CLEAR internet reviews to make sure that we got a great reliable service at a good price. I am economically-minded one in our family. I work part-time outside the home, but my other responsibility is to take care of all of the family finances and things around the house. I am our family’s domestic engineer ( what I like to call myself) as my second job. My husband works at least seventy hours every week and usually doesn’t have time to check into things. By the time he gets off work, everything is closed. I am pretty good at finding great deals and getting things done, so I actually enjoy the domestic engineering that I do everyday. Recently, I started couponing. It adds to my tasks, but I love to save some money. There is just something about getting a good deal or a discount that makes you feel good and accomplished. Last week I saved fifteen dollars on our grocery bill. I was pumped and felt like an accomplished domestic engineer!

Beverly Hills:90210

Guest post written by my buddy Royce Heath

Saturday night my husband was working the night shift. Earlier that day, I logged on to http://DirectStarTV.com and got an awesome cable package. Best thing about it, it has channels that have oldies but goodies. My favorite show now: Beverly Hills 90210. I had forgotten how much I loved the 1990’s television shows. I have started with season one and am already into the third! It is refreshing to watch a teenage drama where the characters aren’t scantily clad. The show is filled with teenage drama. The problems, that seem like the end of the world, are solved within the hour. Beverly Hills:90210 is truly a classic. It was not a show that was cancelled in the first three seasons like many of the short-lived high school dramas that we watched in our early college years. It ran for a whole ten seasons and managed to keep many of the original actors. If you get a chance, check it out. Once you start watching, you will be hooked! I even caught my husband watching 90210 on his day off.

People Don't Know

Thanks for the post from Sylvester Campbell

People think New York is unsafe and that’s honestly just not true. Ever since Guiliani cleaned it up a few years back crime rates have been down and everyone’s been much safer for it. There are a lot of things to love about living and visiting her and I should know – I’m a resident! My favorite part of being a New Yorker is that I can walk out my door and buy coffee from literally ten different places in a city block. I also like that energy is deregulated here and I went to http://www.newyorkenergyrates.com to look at rates. If you’re into food there’s obviously a ton of different options from Street Dogs to roasted nuts to haute cuisine! Shopping is my game so I really can’t keep away from Bloomingdales or the shops in SoHo…if you don’t want to spend any money make sure you don’t venture down that way! There’s plenty to see and do in NYC and summer’s a great time to try it out!
